General Pathologist

Job Description:

ABILENE, TX (USA).  Pathologist full time job opening in the convenient and lovable city of Abilene. 

This employment opportunity entails engagement with an independent pathology company operating within a hospital environment.  We seek individuals who possess exceptional efficiency, a strong commitment to respectful interactions, and an inclination toward effective collaboration with surgeons as required.  A candidate demonstrating a strategic, business-oriented mindset combined with traits of compassion and cooperation would align with our organizational values.  Pathologists' assistants will perform the gross examination.  Good support staff and secretaries.  No autopsies.

 

Responsibilities may include:

• Morphologically evaluate histopathology cases, integrating findings in clinical data, immunohistochemical, special stains and other pertinent testing

• Ensure the proper handling of all samples

• Examine all samples as requested, conducting all necessary tests accurately

• Provide written evaluation and diagnosis for each case

• Work collaboratively with other physicians and laboratory staff

• Maintain compliance with all legal and institutional requirements at all times

• Provide reports in a timely manner

• Other duties may include medical directorships and Technical Supervisor roles

Requirements

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from accredited university

• Board Certified, in good standing, in Anatomic Pathology and Clinical Pathology

• Medical license, valid and in good standing, contingent on achieving Texas State medical license

• Impeccable work history, exemplifying excellence in the field

• Willingness to continue to develop and hone skills in keeping up with the latest techniques

• Cognizant of patient confidentiality and compliance with all legal requirements

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

• Commitment to excellent patient care
