After over four decades of unwavering commitment and expertise, Dr. Maureen Elizabeth Trotter, a distinguished Pathologist with Clinical Pathology Associates, bids farewell to her illustrious career. Â Her journey has left an indelible mark on the medical community, and her contributions will be remembered for years to come.

A Remarkable Career Journey
Dr. Trotter's educational journey began at San Angelo Central High School, leading her to Rice University, where she earned her B.A. in history. Â Following her passion for medicine, she pursued her M.D. at the University of Texas Southwestern at Dallas, graduating in 1976. Â Dr. Trotter's residency at Vanderbilt University and the University of Texas at San Antonio solidified her expertise in Clinical and Anatomic Pathology, earning her board certification in November 1980.

Dedication to Healing at Hendrick Medical Center
Joining Clinical Pathology Associates in the summer of 1980, Dr. Trotter became an integral part of Hendrick Health System in Abilene, Texas. Â As a Staff Pathologist, she played a pivotal role in the medical community's growth and development. Â Her leadership extended to various roles, including the President of the County Medical Society since 2009.

Community Impact Beyond the Lab
Dr. Trotter's commitment to service reached beyond the medical realm. Â She actively participated in numerous committees, including the Performance Improvement, Tumor Board, Physicians Health Committee, and Continuing Medical Education. Â Her community service included roles on the Board of Noah and the American Heart Association, showcasing her dedication to making a positive impact.

A Well-Deserved Retirement
As of December 30, 2023, Dr. Trotter officially retired from her position at Hendrick Medical Center. Â Her colleagues and the community express deep gratitude for her kindness, compassion, and down-to-earth demeanor throughout her career. Â While her retirement is well-deserved, Dr. Trotter will be dearly missed.
