Clinical Pathology Associates has a new Pathologist Assistant

Clinical Pathology Associates has a new Pathologist Assistant...introducing Leigh Ann Smith-Barton! She is a native Texan who grew up in Vernon, Texas, and attended Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas. Leigh Ann has a background in histology, billing, transcription and has been an after hours courier so she understands how a pathology lab is run. She was trained to be a Pathologist Assistant in Denton, Texas and worked at UT Southwestern in Dallas. While there, she really enjoyed getting to organize teaching manuals for those studying to be Pathologist Assistants. Leigh Ann has been working in pathology labs since 1997.

She has known her husband since she was 15 years old. They have been married for 21 years and have one daughter and two dogs! They moved to Abilene from Hurst, Texas. Leigh Ann has several hobbies including welding, sewing and reading. We are blessed that Leigh Ann and her family are here in Abilene and happy that she chose to be a part of Clinical Pathology Associates!
